  • Jackknife Brewing 727 Baillie Avenue Kelowna, BC, V1Y 7E9 Canada (map)

SPACE QUEEN is the stoner rock evolution of power trio Jenna Earle (guitar/vocals), Seah Maister (bass/keys/vocals) and Karli MacIntosh (drums/vocals).

Space Queen takes the trio’s signature haunting vocal harmonies sends them soaring over a cosmic canvas of neo-psychedelic rock. Driving beats from MacIntosh provide an anchor for Earle’s heavy distortion and 70s-style riffs, while Maister keeps everything grounded on fuzzed-out, gnarly bass.

The band released their debut EP in 2020 which garnered a ton of favourable press and college radio play, including landing on the Earshot charts. Space Queen was featured on Nardwuar The Human Serviette’s radio show for a month leading up to their EP release.

Space Queen has thrived in 2021-2024 by opening for bands such as King Buffalo, Blackwater Holylight, Meatbodies, Cancer Bats, Acid Mothers Temple, The Well, Mondo Drag, RIP, Spirit Mother, Black Mastiff and The Pack A.D.

The band also hit multiple festival stages including Massif Music fest, Tune it down, Turn it up Festival, Electric Highway, Rock 'n' Roll Pride, and Fallen Fest.

Space Queen toured Western Canada in March 2023 and again in November 2023. SQ’s sophomore EP “Nebula” was released in the Spring of 2023, followed by a cross Canada tour in May/June with festival stops at NXNE and Vantopia. Nebula landed on best of 2023 lists by The Obelisk and Diary Of Doom.

2024 will see the band do their first foray into the US, with a west coast tour from Vancouver to Los Angeles, as well as recording their first full length album.

Hailing from the scenic Okanagan Valley, DOWN THE LEES is a formidable post-noise-rock outfit led by Laura Lee Schultz. Originating as Schultz's solo project in Vancouver, the band has evolved into a dynamic trio, featuring Andy Ashley on drums and Chris Carlson on bass.

Their journey includes multiple albums, an EP, and singles, with highlights such as the acclaimed 'Bury The Sun' recorded by Steve Albini. Notable performances led to sharing stages with Brutus, Chastity, Dead Bob, and a tour invitation with the Sisters of Mercy in Italy.

Their latest EP, produced by Jesse Gander of Raincity Recorders, dropped on May 3, 2024, with the lead single 'Douse' winning Best Song at the OSIF Awards. Down The Lees continues to carve their niche with a blend of thunderous guitars and pulsating rhythms, showcasing resilience and musical prowess amidst global chaos.
