CALLING ALL CAPTAINS // GUTTERKING // IDIOFAME

CALLING ALL CAPTAINS (Edmonton, AB)

Originating from the outskirts of Edmonton, Alberta, Calling All Captains is a dynamic pop punk/post hardcore band that comprises Luc Gauthier on vocals, Brad Bremner on guitar and vocals, Connor Dawkins on guitar and vocals, and Tim Wilson on drums. Together, they have embarked on an exciting musical journey, earning a reputation for their electrifying performances and heartfelt song writing.

Known for their high energy live performances, Calling All Captains has captivated audiences with their electrifying stage presence and infectious enthusiasm. They have shared stages with renowned acts and performed at notable festivals, earning a growing fanbase and expanding their reach.

GUTTER KING (Calgary, AB)

By bending genres and hitting all the right emotional notes, Canadian metalcore band Gutter King means business. Determined to expand the world of metalcore by embracing their broad list of influences, Gutter King is breaking barriers and isn’t slowing down any time soon.

The first single off their latest EP, “Chemical Messages” (2023) demonstrated that Gutter King had rewritten the rules, and had gone all-in on their own unique sound. “Bloodrush” embraces a new sonic palette that takes the listener to places that were previously untouched by the band; an evolution that their listeners, new and old, welcomed with open arms.

After a busy year of touring Canada, the band followed up their 2024 Deluxe version of “Chemical Messages” with a new single, “Killswitch”. The song ushered in a new era for Gutter King and set a tenacious tone for the future. This is only the beginning. Gutter King is more focused than ever, and hell-bent on making their name known in 2025.

The Anti-Queens // The Venomous Pinks // Robot Orifice

THE ANTI-QUEENS (Toronto, ON)

A staple of the Toronto scene for over a decade, The Anti-Queens are an ultra hard-working, punked up rock n' roll quartet of super high-powered women who give the male-dominated music industry a run for their money. They've become infamous in their hometown of Toronto for their insanely high-energy, take-no-prisoner live performances.

They have toured across Canada, The United States & Europe as direct support for Danko Jones, Streetlight Manifesto, Cancer Bats, The Planet Smashers, Protest The Hero, illScarlett & Silverstein, to name a few. They are no stranger to the big stage and have rocked festivals including 77 MTL, Montebello Rockfest, Music4Cancer, Rock La Cauze, Pouzza Fest, Park Jam London, Beau’s Oktoberfest, Harley Days Dresden & Weserlieder Open Air in Minden.

The Anti-Queens most recently released their second LP in Spring 2024 - produced by Dave ‘Brownsound’ Baksh (of Sum 41) & Steve Rizun. The band has previously self-released two stellar EPs (Grow Up/Stay Young and Start Running) and released their killer full-length debut on Stomp Records in Fall of 2019.

THE VENOMOUS PINKS (Mesa, AZ)

The Venomous Pinks are an all-female punk band from Arizona who have been making waves in the scene since 2013. The band is known for their intense and energetic live shows, as well as their catchy melodies and brash punk sound.

While every all-female punk band will draw inevitable comparisons to Bikini Kill, few deserve them more and want them less than the Venomous Pinks. They simply want to deliver the most intense, refined, in-your-face, high-energy hardcore punk regardless of gender or background.

The Venomous Pinks have shared the stage and earned the respect of a who’s who of punk rock royalty, including Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion, and NOFX. They have also played at some of the biggest festivals in the world, such as Punk Rock Holiday, Punk Rock Bowling, and BrakRock.

In 2022, The Venomous Pinks released their long-awaited debut LP, Vita Mors. The album perfectly encapsulates who The Venomous Pinks are in 2022: a fusion of unforgettably catchy melodies and brash punk that pushes forth the underlying messages of unity, equality, and positive mental attitude (PMA).

Whether you’re looking for the slick hardcore punk musicianship of shredding guitars, pounding bass, and thunderous drums or the oft-inspiring message of a band capable of bringing generations of punk rockers together The Venomous Pinks are very much what the present and future look like. These ladies will rock your world in every room of the house, clear out to the parking lot. While their energetic stage performance exhibits a “work hard and play harder” mentality, this tight, punchy three-piece’s unapologetic style will ravage your ears with their mix of punk and hardcore.

ROBOT ORIFICE (Kelowna, BC)

Hidden in the depths of Kelowna, Robot Orifice is a young punk band driven by a passion for laughter and defiance. Robot Orifice delivers music that is doused in rebellion with comedic ambiance. Whether at a DIY basement show or a shadowy venue, their performances are a surge of emotion and vitality. Get ready to rock your orifices!

XOTH // ATRAE BILIS // DISSOLVER

The Invisible Orange presents: XOTH with special guests: ATRAE BILIS and DISSOLVER live in Kelowna!

XOTH

Since bursting forth from the cosmic ether in 2014, Seattle’s Xoth (pronounced ZOTH) has evoked fan and critical acclaim for their innovative approach to extreme metal. 2019’s Interdimensional Invocations has become a cult classic, blending technical death metal, modern black metal, and thrash in a novel synthesis that eludes categorization. In partnership with Dawnbreed Records, their third triumph "Exogalactic" is an ambitious leap forward. It’s as if they've excavated musical relics from Earth's core and melded them with sounds from the far reaches of the universe. Each song is an event horizon, stirring subgenres into a time warp of past and future sonic chaos. Amidst the vortex of sound, the mixing sorcery of Joe Cincottaat Full Force Studio (Obituary, Suffocation) manifests an auditory odyssey. Xoth is not just music; it's a journey across the celestial landscaped by interstellar luminaries.

KING THIEF // IDIOFAME // DERAILLEUR

KING THIEF (Edmonton, AB)

A fast and fiery punk rock juggernaut, King Thief was born as a musical call to arms for Edmonton’s underground scene in 2019. The band developed their honest and melodic approach to dirty rock and roll riffery throughout the pandemic shutdown, blending notes of post hardcore and modern punk with underscores of 70s arena rock.

Quickly recognized for their energy and technical facility, King Thief’s live performance is described as explosive and engaging – tight and raw, pure focussed energy. The gravelly delivery of Eric Nielson’s lyrics, often rooted in social justice, sit atop the punishing rhythm section that is Darren Chewka’s (Teenage Bottle Rocket, Old Wives) melodic drumming and Nick Kouremenos’ (This is a Standoff, Fire Next Time, Vargouille) bass mastery. Shawn Moncrieff (Choke) and Ryan Podlubny(ex-The Fullblast), both known for innovative and nuanced guitar playing, haunt listeners with adventurously rhythmic chording and inter-weaving lead-line crescendos. If nothing else, King Thief come by their innovative approach to creating art genuinely.

The band has recently completed their debut, full length album, which was released on Thousand Islands records in Canada, Disconnect Disconnect records in the U.K and distributed in Europe through Bearded Punk records.

Gothic heavy metal band from Portland, Unto Others, released their triumphant new LP, "Never, Neverland" in September and now, the band announce a North American tour in support of the album with a stop at Jackknife Brewing in Kelowna on November 17!

UNTO OTHERS

Unto Others emerged in the summer of 2017 from the creative vision of singer-songwriter Gabriel Franco. Originally named Idle Hands, the group quickly gained traction in the underground scene with their blend of old-school heavy metal, goth, new wave and post-punk. Their debut EP “Don’t Waste Your Time” received critical acclaim and led to a European tour, earning accolades from major metal publications.

The band’s debut full-length album “Mana” was released in 2019 and marked a significant milestone, garnering positive reviews and impressive streaming numbers. This was followed by the powerful “Strength” in 2021. In 2024, Unto Others released their highly anticipated third album, “Never, Neverland”, which has positioned them as a band on the verge of something unholy and massive.

HIPPIE DEATH CULT // KADABRA // THE CAVERNOUS

HIPPIE DEATH CULT
Hippie Death Cult have been described as “a journey through shameless and triumphant artistic expression, exploration and discovery” in the realms of psychedelia and riff-heavy rock n’ roll. The band hails from Portland, Oregon and during their formative years they have transitioned from a 4 piece to a more consonant power trio consisting of guitarist Eddie Brnabic, vocalist/bassist Laura Phillips and drummer Harry Silvers. In 2019 they signed to Cursed Tongue Records for the release of “111” then in 2021 signed to Heavy Psych Sounds Records to release “Circle of Days” and the Doom Sessions Vol.5 split. Both full-length albums received international critical acclaim while debuting at #1 on the Doom Charts.

The band is also known for their high energy and passionate stage performances, having performed to audiences across America, Canada and Europe. They are currently in production for their 3rd studio album and are set to announce extensive tours to follow. You can find them on:

KADABRA
The band formed during the dark days of 2020 and were quickly signed by Heavy Psych Sounds, who released Ultra in the fall of 2021 and established the band’s penchant for delivering crushing doom riffs and haunting vocals accentuated by bursts of psychedelic flair and swampy Americana swagger. And while the chemistry of long-time friends Garrett Zanol (guitar/vocals), Ian Nelson (bass) and Chase Howard (drums) was apparent upon listening to their debut, their bond was further strengthened by relentlessly touring the western United States and completing a month-long tour of Europe.

The trio almost immediately began looking forward, road-testing and crystalizing the songs that would comprise their follow-up, which found the band reuniting with Ultra producer Dawson Scholz. The result is Umbra: a singular statement that is more focused and cohesive than its predecessor, while managing to capture the immersive, free-flowing experience of their live show. Umbra is set to release on October 6 via Heavy Psych Sounds Records.

K-MAN & THE 45S // DANY LAJ AND THE LOOKS // LUSH RUSTY

K-MAN & THE 45s, where Ska meets Rock and Roll. One of Canada’s most well-known and loved Ska bands. Their relentless touring and hyper active live shows keep turning heads.

Their critically acclaimed Self-Titled album came out in 2016 and there’s been no slowing down since (barring the pandemic blip).

Fan favourite songs such as I Don’t Mind and Space Thriller cemented them in the scene while festival plays and relentless touring brought them to the four corners of the globe playing alongside greats like the Voodoo Glow Skulls, The Planet Smashers, The Original Wailers, Big D and The Kids Table, The Slackers levelled up their fanbase and live show.

Festivals, Canadian, US and European tours are all booked and K-Man & The 45s keep moving!

Dany Laj’s heartfelt songs seamlessly blend rock, folk and country elements, without straying too far from the power-pop roots that give the melodies a certain joie de vivre. Sidekicks Dany Laj and Jeanette Dowling are known for their extensive touring schedules and electrifying live shows. Impressively, the band has played over 1000 shows all through North America.

With stories of finding love, cross-country tours, and broken-down vehicles, this album ultimately retains a strong sense of humour and hope, which lies within memorably catchy hooks and intertwining harmonies between Laj and bassist Jeanette Dowling. Dowling and drummer Dusty Campbell as The Looks, Laj’s crack rhythm section, provide a rock-solid foundation and perfect complement to Laj’s quirky pop sensibilities, rendering DANNY LAJ AND THE LOOKS an unstoppable force just waiting to win your heart.

SINGLE MOTHERS // SPITE HOUSE // SUNDIVER // DEAD END DRIVE-IN

SINGLE MOTHERS broke up in 2009, 2011, 2015 and have been playing shows ever since.

Their first LP Negative Qualities was recorded twice and came out in 2014. Then, as Single Mothers were picking up speed, they fell apart and started over.

Now, 10 years later - in celebration of the record that tried to kill them, they’re back to play it in full. “These are the best songs from the worst years of my life." Thomson recounts, “and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

The NEGATIVE QUALITIES X tour will see the band performing the album in its entirety over a 2-month trek across North America and joined by SPITE HOUSE across Western Canada.

SPITE HOUSE is one of those bands born out of intuition. Vocalist Maxime Lajoie (guitar and vocals) cites the unexpected death of his mother as the spark to dig into his desire to sing for a band and ignite an old idea between former friend and schoolmate Marc Tremblay (drums). Shortly after, the two had fallen into a cohesive writing rhythm of tracks bearing influences such as Samiam, Jawbreaker and Seaweed with a modern flair. The band’s sonic trajectory was cemented with the inclusion of Nabil Ortega (bass), who also shared a mutual love for the band’s list of influences.

The band has wasted no time. Since their inception they have hit the ground running and have been hungry to create. In February, the band released their “3 Song Promo” that caught mention and interest ranging from casual music fans to the ears of music journalists at places such as BrooklynVegan. What was heard on these promo tracks is reinforced on their upcoming LP, “Spite House”. The LP boasts 10 full post-hardcore tracks shaped by modern introspection and the curiosities of life. While this is Max Lajoie’s first time fronting a band, lyrically and vocally he delivers. Max’s wide vocal stylings offer listeners a glimpse into the emotions put into each line and driven home by the musicianship of the band as a unit.

SUICIDE FOREST

During the Summer of 2016, what started as a one man DSBM project released its first demo, made available for free download on Bandcamp. Influenced by Depressive/Suicidal black metal projects such as Shining, Thy Light, Xasthur, and Make a Change…Kill Yourself, the music of Suicide Forest has been described as highly atmospheric, depressive black metal that incorporates elements of 20th century classical and particularly, minimalism. Although all the music of Suicide Forest continues to be written and recorded by A. Kruger, to this day it has evolved into much more than a one man project. Through the realization of dedicated live members, the music of Suicide Forest can be taken to the stage.

MARES OF THRACE

Canadian two-piece Mares of Thrace deal in a brand of heaviness that draws as much from noise rock and hardcore as it does from the doom metal they’re commonly grouped with. Their three critically-acclaimed full-length releases have been punctuated with international tours, where their live show has gained a reputation for what Absolute Underground Magazine described as “[sounding] like there are at least five peopleonstage”.

Founded in 2009 by Trez (vocals, guitar) and Stef (drums), Mares released their debut The Moulting in 2010, where it topped national campus radio charts and was hailed by PopMatters as “superb”; they signed to Canada’s venerable Sonic Unyon Records shortly thereafter. 2012’s The Pilgrimage was produced by Sanford Parker (Voivod, Yob, Pelican) and praised by Pitchfork, Decibel, and Terrorizer, as well as receiving a nod from Canada’s prestigious Polaris Prize. After several North American tours, a hiatus followed; they re-emerged in 2022 with Trez remaining at the helm, and long-standing Mares collaborator Casey on drums, bass, and electronics. 2022’s The Exile was deemed by many reviewers as their finest work to date; Decibel praised its “nuance, vulnerability, and maturity”, and AngryMetalGuy called it “the sound of a band in its prime, not one just slinking back in from the cold”. North American and European tours with heavyweights such as KEN mode, Vile Creature, Lo-Pan, Couch Slut, and the Austerity Program followed.

SPACE QUEEN // DOWN THE LEES // EARS

SPACE QUEEN is the stoner rock evolution of power trio Jenna Earle (guitar/vocals), Seah Maister (bass/keys/vocals) and Karli MacIntosh (drums/vocals).

Space Queen takes the trio’s signature haunting vocal harmonies sends them soaring over a cosmic canvas of neo-psychedelic rock. Driving beats from MacIntosh provide an anchor for Earle’s heavy distortion and 70s-style riffs, while Maister keeps everything grounded on fuzzed-out, gnarly bass.

The band released their debut EP in 2020 which garnered a ton of favourable press and college radio play, including landing on the Earshot charts. Space Queen was featured on Nardwuar The Human Serviette’s radio show for a month leading up to their EP release.

Space Queen has thrived in 2021-2024 by opening for bands such as King Buffalo, Blackwater Holylight, Meatbodies, Cancer Bats, Acid Mothers Temple, The Well, Mondo Drag, RIP, Spirit Mother, Black Mastiff and The Pack A.D.

2024 will see the band do their first foray into the US, with a west coast tour from Vancouver to Los Angeles, as well as recording their first full length album.

Hailing from the scenic Okanagan Valley, DOWN THE LEES is a formidable post-noise-rock outfit led by Laura Lee Schultz. Originating as Schultz's solo project in Vancouver, the band has evolved into a dynamic trio, featuring Andy Ashley on drums and Chris Carlson on bass.

CLIFFSIDE + HAWKING + IDIOFAME

CLIFFSIDE is a Canadian metal band. The band formed in 2017 and is comprised of Joel Issler (Guitar/Vocals), Ben Davis (Bass), and Taylor Thomas (Lead Vocals).

After releasing their debut EP “Wilderness” in 2019, the band began the process of expanding their catalogue of music. Writing through a global pandemic, they found themselves back in the studio at Oodelally Recordings with Jordan Chase (Secret & Whisper/Stutterfly/Shreddy Kreuger) and Colton Douglas (Stasis/Cloaker).
The message behind their music is simple: CLIFFSIDE desires to reach people through their music to inspire self-worth and hope in others. They continue to aspire to write music that’s vulnerable, real, and open minded based on their own personal victories and struggles.

For years, the term “prog” has been thrown around to describe a vast array of musical outfits with little sonic consistency from one to the next. When it comes to Vancouver-based 4-piece HAWKING however, the sense in which ”progressive” is meant is clear: embedded in the group’s ethos is a razor-sharp desire to subvert expectations and tear past the boundaries of what modern metal music can sound like. HAWKING steps outside of tropes like ‘prog’ and ‘djent’, shapeshifting aggressively into whatever form they choose.

HAWKING was born into existence in 2014, and have spent the years since refining and meditating on the presentation of their work. Relentless touring and writing would sharpen their musicality, technical prowess and sense of duty as a creative force. From emotionally invigorating spells cast by tactically precise compositions, to intense and cathartic live performances that guide us into the darker recesses of our minds, the mysticism HAWKING exudes has proven to be as captivating as it is rejuvenating for fans of progressive music worldwide.

Though their on-stage energy can be unrelenting and downright aggressive, HAWKING’s thoughtful communication and presence continually remind us to honour our inner truth above all else; to resist those external forces seeking to groom us into something other than ourselves. It is this attitude and ethos that has garnered HAWKING global interest and given rise to an intimately connected and widespread following.

FRAIL BODY • SATANIC TEA CO • LOOK ALIVE • STASIS

FRAIL BODY is a three-piece band from Rockford, IL.

"Artificial Bouquet" is an eleven song album by Frail Body. Produced, engineered, and recorded by Pete Grossmann at Bricktop Recording, and mastered by Jack Shirley at The Atomic Garden (Deafheaven, Joyce Manor, Loma Prieta).

Opening track "Scaffolding" explodes out of the gate with dizzying speed before descending into a wash of discordant melody. "Berth" and "Critique Programme" then inject pulse-pounding tempo shifts and unorthodox heavy riffing into the fray. "Devotion" plays as a stunning ebb and flow epic that shows method to their musical chaos. "Monolith" and "Refrain" then blur the lines between post-hardcore and melodic black metal in their frantic approach. These lead to "No Resolution" and "Runaway"; two slow build numbers that showcase the otherworldly dynamics Frail Body possess. "Horizon Line" follows this path as it builds to bone-shaking crescendo. Lastly "Another Year Removed" serves as an instrumental bridge to closer "A Capsule In The Sediment". A song that empties the emotional tank for all to bear witness. All of it so raw and beautifully out of control.

Without question, "Artificial Bouquet" establishes Frail Body as leaders within the modern "screamo" movement. A shining example that the once dormant sub-genre continues to evolve and thrive for all the world to see.

SATANTIC TEA CO was launched in January of 2017, initially as a tea company. In 2022 the death metal band of the same name debuted and caused quite a stir.

Musically SATANTIC TEA CO draw influences from old school death metal like DYING FETUS, SUFFOCATION as well as Myspace era Deathgrind.

Since releasing their first single “Blood Drenched Torture Chamber” in May 2022, the band have collaborated with the likes of CRADLE OF FILTH, BLOODBATH, TWIN TEMPLE, CRYPTOPSY, VENOM PRISON, INGESTED, BELZEBUBS and IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT.

In 2023 Satanic Tea Co debuted their live act performing shows across western Canada with plans to dominate the world.

Right from the opening seconds of their latest single, “Scum”, Calgary’s LOOK ALIVE pulls you into their own inimitable world. A world as colourful and nuanced as it is destructive: blistering guitar riffs, pummelling drums and Jeremy Richardson’s one-of-a-kind, devastating vocals coalesce into an auditory hurricane that simply can’t be ignored.

Producing all visuals, songs, and designs themselves, LOOK ALIVE is an artistic powerhouse—relentless in their pursuit of a unique aesthetic and a sound that pushes the boundaries of heavy music.

A ferocious and intense Canadian melodic / post hardcore band hailing from Kelowna, BC, STASIS blends styles of the metalcore genre from classic acts such as Killswitch Engage, Poison the Well and Misery Signals, to new-wave bands comparable to Counterparts, The Ghost Inside and Being As An Ocean.

The band perpetuates as a 4 piece consisting of vocalist Callum Reid, guitarist Colton Douglas, bassist Ryan Campbell, and drummer Cliff Aubut.

The group teamed up with Producer/Engineer Jordan Chase of "Oodelally Recordings" to cultivate three studio albums including their first LP “No Hope for Now”,  6-track EP “My State of Decay” and their most recent release "Six Shades of Red".
